Frequently Asked Questions

WILL CAPSA BE REMOTE THIS SUMMER?

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, CAPSA will be offered remotely via Zoom for Summer 2021.

HOW I DO REGISTER?

It's easy to register, just follow these simple steps:

1) Learn more about the program and our instructors on our homepage.

2) Click Register on the main menu.

3) After registering you will receive a confirmation email.

We can't wait to have you!

CAN I REPEAT A CREATIVE LAB?

We encourage students to explore other labs but if you really want to repeat a lab please let us know via email at capsa@calarts.edu.

Each participant will have the opportunity to go to a different lab each week.

WHAT IS THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF LABS I CAN SIGN UP FOR?

Participants can sign up for four (4) Creative Labs. One for each week of the program.

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO PARTICIPATE?

Participants must be 14-18 years old. You must be enrolled in the fall semester in a high school in Los Angeles county or equivalent.

CAN I PARTICIPATE IF I DO NOT LIVE IN LOS ANGELES COUNTY?

Unfortunately, no. Participants must live and attend high school in Los Angeles County in order to be eligible.

DO I GET SCHOOL CREDIT PARTICIPATING IN CAPSA: CREATIVE LABS PROGRAM?

The program does not award high school credit or certification. However, participating in CAPSA is a great extracurricular activity for resumes and college applications and an opportunity to network with working artists.

HOW MUCH DOES THE PROGRAM COST?

CAPSA: Creative Labs Program is FREE!

WHAT DO I DO AFTER I REGISTER?

Upon completion of the registration process, CAPSA staff will contact you via email.
